Governor of Bank of England confirms EU law will apply until UK completes withdrawal from EU

In his Opening Remarks in relation to the Financial Stability Report, the Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, today confirmed that “nothing in financial regulation will change until the process of the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union is complete, and EU law ceases to have effect in the UK.
